Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Snapchat geofilter?

Geofilters are location-based overlays that users can apply to their Snaps. They’re a fun way to share where you are, or what you’re up to via Snapchat. If you have location services and Filters enabled on Snapchat, Geofilters appear at thousands of places around the world. After you take a Snap, swipe to see what’s around!

How long does it take to design a geofilter?

We ask that all custom geofilter orders are submitted at least 10 days prior to the event date. This gives us time to review your submission, secure any additional details/assets, and conduct any revisions that might be needed. Also, Snapchat requires that all geofilters must be submitted at least 24 hours prior to an event.

Are there any design restrictions?

How much do you charge to design custom Geofilters?

We do not have a standard price for Snapchat filters because each event/occasion has unique circumstances. Our prices are based on estimated design time, turnaround time, and Snapchat’s geofence fee.

What does Snapchat charge to geofence an area?

Snapchat requires that geofilters cover a minimum of 20,000 square feet and maximum of 5,000,000 square feet. You can have a geofilter active for a minimum of one hour and a maximum of 30 days. Snapchat’s fee is based on the size of the area covered as well as the duration of time that the geofilter is active. Their fees typically start at $6 and up.
